A quick and easy way to insert audio into a webpage

Over the past few years it has become increasingly common to see audio and video on web sites. Both of these types of media can bring a web site alive and add an extra dimension to a site that would otherwise be two dimensional.

Unfortunately inserting multimedia isn’t always that easy and can be a bit fiddly, particularly for people who are new to building web sites.

Luckily, there is one web site design tool that takes away all the difficulty and makes it a quick and easy task. That software is XSitePro Website Designer. I’ve not come across any website design software, or other software, that makes it so incredibly simple to add an audio file or a video.

Both types of media are inserted using what are known as XSitePro wizards. The Audio Wizard takes pretty much every format of audio file you will come across (MP3, etc) and the Video Wizard takes most standard video files (AVI, etc) and converts them into a format and size that is appropriate for streaming across the web.

These two wizards are ideal for beginners as they make the process very straight forward and take away all the complexity that you would otherwise have to struggle through, but they’re not just useful aids for beginners or newcomers to web site design.

Power users can also benefit hugely from the Audio and Video Wizards, as they save a considerable amount of time. Instead of needing to make use of several different utilities to convert the audio or video files into an appropriate format. Then use another tool to generate the code, or writing it yourself. Then have another tool for uploading the files. It’s all done using the same tool.

So, if you’ve struggled with adding audio and video to your sites, or have avoided making use of multimedia when building your websites because your worried it is beyond your abilities, now you have no excuse.
