Making My Website - Where To Start
|
I have had a small company for a couple of years now, when I came to the conclusion that I had come to a point where I had to expand my base. A spot on the Internet is a must for small business today, so I decided it was high time I started learning about making my website. When I began I knew two things: No. 1: I didn’t have much funds to invest in my new website; and No.2, I didn’t have a clue about making a website by myself.
I decided I needed to do a bit of research first, so I went on the net to source all the info I could about making sites. I quickly found loads of information about making web sites, whether I decided to tackle the job myself or get someone else to do it. I learned that there were plenty of options to take into account, and I would be much more likely to finished the job if I did my research ahead of time.
The 1st choice was to hire a developer to do the development, and this was attractive indeed with my lack of technical experience. I found that some experts in this arena will charge a pretty realistic fee for making a web site, considering how much some would ask to develop a really snazzy, attention-grabbing site. However, even the lowest prices were too steep for my pocket I have to admit, so I resolved to try my hand at it for now. If it came to it, I could always get a programmer to improve my efforts later on, hoping their quotes for that would be cheaper than making my website from scratch.
The Internet info I located offered loads of good hand-holding info for making a website, from picking your website address and creating real pages, to promoting the web site using the right content to draw future customers in. Most of these were aptly referred to as tutorials, because they lead you through the whole procedure with a style that was easy for even complete technofobes to grasp.
When I got my web site online, I found additional help on making web sites that allowed me to smarten up my pages with lots of tasteful graphics, as well as my logo, icons to lead to other pages, and images to make the complete website as agreeable to the visitors as possible. I must admit that I loved the whole process, and it was easier than I had expected.
However, I am looking forward to bringing an a programmer in to assist me with the ins and outs of making a website for free that will give my web site that perfect, expert touch that will definitely allow my web site to shine.
