Advanced Uses for MySpace

MySpace members can generate a website quickly through templates. These templates enable users to create a generic website in very little time. For those who are just interested in making new friends or keeping in touch with old friends, this may be all the member needs. However, those who want to offer more on their website or those who simply want to create a more detailed website may require some more advanced knowledge to achieve the desired effects.

Adding Background Music in MySpace

The majority of websites on the Internet do not have background music. This may lead many novice MySpace members to believe adding music to the background is a difficult process but it really isn’t. It's really easy to add music to your profile in MySpace. The steps to add music to a MySpace profile are as follows:

* Log into your MySpace account

* While logged in visit this web address:

http://music.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=music

*Listen to the music available and select a suitable song for your profile
* Click on the link that says “Add” below the song title
* The music is then automatically added to your profile

It is important to note that users can only add one song at a time to their profile. Clicking the “Add” link on a second song will result in the original song being replaced on the profile by the new song. Songs can be removed from a profile at any time by going to the “Edit profile” section of your account and entering the “Profile songs” subcategory. Here you have the option to remove your chosen song.

Adding Videos to MySpace

Adding videos to MySpace is also not as difficult as it seems. You can add your own videos or videos produced by other members even if you don't have HTML skills. The steps to add a video to your MySpace profile are as follows:

* Log into your MySpace Account
* From your MySpace homepage, click on the “Add/Change Videos” link
* You are then taken to another webpage where you can either search through a database of previously uploaded videos or upload your own video
* Searching the databse, just click on the search videos button and look for the available videos
* Once you have watched the video you can add it to your profile in several ways. First you can click on the “Add to my profile” button or you can copy the source code provided and paste this code into the desired location on your profile.

Alternately you can add your own videos to your MySpace profile by first uploading them to MySpace and then adding them to your profile. It's important to take into account the term of service when uploading a video.

Creating Interactive Features on MySpace

Creating interactive features on MySpace is a bit more involved. Members can create features which allow visitor interaction but these features require more extensive HTML knowledge. The best way to acquire the information necessary to design these types of features is to research the subject of HTML code in books or on the Internet. However, if you find a feature on another MySpace website you would like to include in your own profile you can contact the member and ask them how to add this feature.

Mysteries of Myspace Explained

MySpace is a very popular social networking site and has currently over one hundred million members! MySpace, like many other social networking websites allows you to create your own profile, which acts as your own personal web page.

Once your page has been created, you can invite others to become a member of your network and visa versa. As well as having a normal profile page with your personal details, you can also include pictures, video clips, and music. And MySpace is entirely free of charge.

MySpace has literally taken the world by storm. This is because, in what seemed like no time at all, MySpace has grown to become one of the most popular social media websites in all of cyberspace. Particularly popular with music lovers. many bands have developed a following and released music through Myspace.

Recent studies have indicated over 50% of the users at MySpace are over the age of 30, so it’s no longer just a place for teens to share pictures and chat about the latest music!!

Businesses are now using MySpace to build their network of customers and drive traffic to their online stores. A Myspace profile should be a key part of your social media marketing strategy.

The first step in joining this popular online social network is to sign up for an account. This can be done in just minutes and is easy to do. Although you can view a number of different MySpace pages without registering, you can’t fully interact without your own account.

Your Profile Page

Once you join MySpace, you can create your own profile page. Don’t put up with the normal profile page they start you out with!

You’ll need to alter this profile immediately so it looks different and matches your business brand. Use the editor option to alter the colors, add background images and pictures, and add your bio information. Then add plenty of good content, including photos and links to your other sites.

To make the process easier, MySpace has a fairly large collection of templates for profiles. These templates not only have an impact on the profile’s background, but the text fonts used also. As well as utilizing the pre-designed templates, you can also make your own, particularly if you have simple knowledge of HTML. You can buy custom profile layouts or task a professional designer to build you something really slick if you wanted. Try googling for “myspace templates” to get some good ideas of the designs available.

Remember your MySpace profile is an extension of you in this cyber community so you want it to be a great representation of who you are and why people would want to get to know you. Add your personality and don’t just post a bunch of hype or business talk; remember people come to MySpace to find other people so if you seem fake on your profile you won’t do well with this site.

You can (and perhaps should!) even place an autoresponder form on your profile page and offer visitors a free gift for signing up to your emails!

After you have designed your own MySpace page, you can easily find other profiles. You can look for others with a wide range of different keywords and phrases. If you are looking for someone who lives near you, you can search for your town. If you are looking for contacts who share your love of animals, you can search for pet lovers. If you find the MySpace page of someone who you’d like to make friends with, you can invite them to be added to your network. In addition to inviting others to join your network, there is a good chance that you will be invited to join others… this is the main benefit of being on MySpace.

Are You Using Myspace?

The Net is developing at a quick pace. In the previous couple of years blogs and then social book-marking became a rage, and to confess to you honestly I still haven’t gotten the suspend of a way to use either of those 2 for promoting purposes. But, I’m not such an previous geezer once all, because I extremely am into Myspace.com.

Myspace.com may be a tremendously interactive medium that is most frequented by teenagers who like to share their photos and exchange messages with every different, and with pop music bands, who founded on-line presences that attract thousands of recent listeners. In the last year Myspace has become one among the foremost visited net destinations around. (Alexa currently ranks it as the sixth most visited site.).

If you are not {a teenager} and you’re not the lead singer in a very rock band, is there any chance that Myspace might be helpful to you? Large businesses like Jack in the Box, Nike and Walmart have Myspace.com presences, all types of advocacy organizations have Myspace profiles, and even local property firms are opening up sites on Myspace. This can be in a sign that there must be something in it for a large choice of businesses and organizations.

So, how does it work and the way might or not it’s helpful to a business or organization? Essentially, you have got to go to Myspace.com and open up an account. If you’re indeed a musical cluster or artist then you ought to be certain to open up a music or band profile. There also are distinct accounts for comedians and filmmakers. If you need a particular sort of profile then go to Myspace music, film or comedy and click on the artists join up, otherwise just open up a brand new account at Myspace.com .

Once you have got your profile set up. You’ll add an “concerning me” section, place up photos, and post blog messages. The Myspace blog is kind of effective, and posts are quickly picked up by the Technorati blog search engine. You can conjointly show your favorite song. If you have got a basic information of html you’ll be able to modify your Myspace website and create it quite distinctive. You’ll conjointly use on-line editors like those found at www.Myspacetoolbox.com

The key to Myspace as a marketing tool is that the Friends section. A “friend” is another Myspace user who has agreed to simply accept your request to keep in touch with him or her. By building up a massive list of friends you’re effectively increase a large mailing list, and as marketers are quick to point out, “the money is in the list.”

You’ll be able to build up a targeted list of friends by creating searches on Myspace for specific keywords, or by browsing using all kinds of demographic criteria: age, marital standing, nada code etc.

Once you get an inventory of friends, you’ll send bulletins and messages or build comments on your friend’s website. You’ll’t make a comment on another Myspace website unless you’re already an addict, and I suppose this is the key factor that makes Myspace thus interactive. Each time you make a investigate another Myspace web site you are in result making a link back to your site. Every time you’re becoming a “friend” of another Myspace user, you’re making a link back to your Myspace site.

Build up your links and you’ll get traffic. Build up your mailing list and you’ll be able to advertise your events and offerings. Build a profile that’s interesting and informative and you’ll build up your on-line credibility. It sounds like a winning formula to me.

Can or not it’s effective for your business functions? I can’t answer that query, you’ll should strive it and see if it works for you. Another thing, it’s a lot of fun, and can be addictive.

Conquering Blogger’s Block

We’ve all had those days when you sit in front of the PC, trying to think of what to blog about, and coming up with nothing after two fruitless hours.  Or what about those days when the right words seem to escape you, and none of your ideas seem to be connecting well?  Blogger’s block has to be one of the most annoying things that pro bloggers have to deal with – especially because it can get in the way of how we make money blogging!

Nonetheless, there are ways to fight that dreaded block, or even prevent it from happening.  Here are a couple of tips that you can keep in mind so you never run out of words or ideas:

1.  Get a change of scenery
Just being in the same place everyday and brainstorming in the same exact spot each time can become a drag, so why don’t you go for a change of scenery to freshen things up a bit?  Instead of blogging from the same spot that you blogged from yesterday and the day before that, move to another place and write  your article there.  It could be as simple as moving from the living room to the front porch, or even going to a local coffee shop.

If you don’t have a laptop, however, don’t despair.  You need not be chained to your PC all day.  Just get up, take a break, and move away from your computer for a while.  A 15- or 20-minute break and a breath of fresh air can do wonders and help you get a shot of new ideas and perspectives.

2.  Move away from distractions
Don’t set yourself up for a bout of blogger’s block by positioning yourself in a place that’s chock-full of potential distractions.  Turn off the TV and the radio, or anything else that might keep you from thinking clearly.  If people are making a lot of noise, politely ask them to tone it down a bit.

The distractions can also come from within your PC:  a lot of stuff on the internet and on your hard drive can make you veer away from the task at hand, and the minutes you spend getting distracted can translate into hours of lost time.  Stay away from sites or programs that are likely to distract you, and try your best to focus on the task at hand.

3.  There’s no need to be perfect
Sometimes, bloggers get stuck because they’re working under the impression that they need to make amazing blog entries each time.  While it’s good to be so meticulous, there’s actually no need to make every post a flawless one.  Instead, aim to deliver content that’s satisfying, interesting, and informative, even if it’s just minimally so.

4.  Pre-empt the block
A calendar or blog entry planner is a great way to stop blogger’s block and strike it right at its root.  Think of as many ideas for your entries as you can, and arrange them into a daily count, so you never have to start each day wondering what to blog about next.  You don’t just save time by doing this, you also get to make money blogging more efficiently.

Although blogger’s block can be really annoying, it’s not all that hard to get over it.  All you need to do is keep these techniques in mind, and you won’t hit a lot of snags as you go on blogging.  Just remember to take it easy on yourself, and the words should flow out in no time.
